You can’t help but say “wow” when you look at Piper! She is one big, beautiful girl! Not only is she pretty looking she is pretty on point and has style for miles. She definitely is on the bigger side for a female and she’s got a big ole’ head and often gets mistaken for a male if she isn’t wearing a pink collar!
She is such a great wild bird-finding dog, which has always impressed us. She is one of those dogs that the saying “trust your dog” comes from. When she is on point you don’t doubt her and you know she has a bird pinned so you best be ready! Even as a young dog she handled wild birds with the bird sense of a much more mature and experienced bird dog. Now with her own maturity and experience, there aren’t many dogs that can out-hunt her!
Not only is she a great wild bird dog, but she is also exceptionally trainable. That combination of natural instinct and trainability is something we look for in dogs to add to our breeding program. That level of natural ability and trainability is what it takes to take a dog to the next level in testing and titling. Not only does that trainability make for an obedient bird dog but it makes for a dog with excellent house manners.
