“Pocket Rocket” is the phrase that comes to mind when describing her. She may be compact in size, but she brings a level of intensity and drive that stands out every time she hits the field.
Everything she does, she does with intensity. She hunts with intensity; she is a little pocket pistol in the field, covering ground quickly and purposefully! She backs naturally and with the same amount of intensity as she points, and carries that same focus and desire into retrieving. In the water, she is just as driven—attacking swimming with power and purpose and never hesitating when there’s work to be done. Her high energy is consistent across every aspect of her training and hunting.
What makes her especially enjoyable, though, is how well she balances that intensity with her off-switch. When it’s time to relax, she settles in just as completely—curling up tight on a dog bed and content to be close. She’s a sweet, affectionate dog that’s easy to have around and knows how to rest and relax and contain her energy until it is time to work again!
That combination—high drive in the field and a calm, settled demeanor at home—is what makes her such a complete dog. When it’s time to work, she brings everything she has. And when it’s time to rest, she’s just as committed to that role too.
