Influential Dogs
At Standing Stone Kennels we strive for excellence in all that we do, especially our breeding program. Sometimes we need to bring in new bloodlines and genetics to compliment our breeding program. To do that we selectively add influential dogs owned outside of our kennel to our breedings.
Arlo produced a very nice litter when we bred him to Mako. We are excited to utilize him as a stud dog again with Muddy as there is a strong genetic relationship between Arlo and Benny, whom we previously bred to Muddy which produced our male, Thunder.
Benny produced a very nice litter when we bred him to Muddy. We are excited to utilize him as a stud dog again with Hazel as there is a strong genetic relationship between Muddy and Hazel, as they are full sisters from different Grit x Vex litters. When we previously bred Benny to Muddy we produced our male, Thunder.
Benny has a very impressive parentage:
Benny’s Sire: Sire: DC/AFC/ 3x NSTRA CH Gamble's Odyssey Fritz MH RD VCX F-ROMX
Benny’s Dam: Razorhaven's Sundance Maggie

Chief’s work ethic, desire, and fun-loving attitude leads to memorable days in the field, whether you are training, testing, or hunting. His enthusiasm and gregarious personality make each hunt that much more enjoyable and rewarding.
Gunner is all business with a no BS attitude. It will be hard to find a dog with as much drive and work ethic as him. This is a dog that will hunt all day and never give up. He has that big motor every bird hunter is looking for and will eat up ground or water quickly.
Henry had a great balance of desire and cooperation within a very athletic, strong 60-pound package. He carried forward the traits his sire brought to our breeding program. Henry reached his AKC Master Hunt test title passing 100% of his legs at a young age with average scores of 8.56. This achievement makes a complete 3 generation of AKC Master Hunt test titles in his pedigree. Henry earned the GSPCA 2011 Hunt Test Sire of the Year with his half-sister Princes Di the same year.
Onyx is the complete package. He’s an easygoing, well-mannered companion at home who knows exactly how to turn it on the moment he hits the field. Around the house, he is calm, affectionate, and fantastic with children. He greets everyone who walks through the door like an old friend and is just as content napping under the bed as he is soaking up the sun in the backyard.
