Puppy Purchase Agreement
Standing Stone Kennels is dedicated to the improvement of the German Shorthaired Pointer. The intent of this contract is to assure Puppy Buyers that the puppies produced from this kennel are not from indiscriminate breeding, but are carefully thought out to enhance the outstanding hunting qualities and health of the breed.
Standing Stone Kennels agrees to sell one German Shorthaired Pointer puppy to Puppy Buyer who signs the e-form below for the price of $3,500, of which the deposit of $1,000 is nonrefundable. Payment Process: $1,000 nonrefundable deposit due to hold a spot on the litter waitlist, $1,000 nonrefundable payment to commit to the litter at time of birth, and the final $1,500 payment is due at puppy send home.
Standing Stone Kennels will notify Puppy Buyer within three days of the birth of the litter. Please note that deposits will not be returned in the event that a puppy is not available for the sex that Puppy Buyer has requested. However, the deposit will be transferred to another litter in the event a puppy is not available for the sex Puppy Buyer has requested. Puppy Buyer will be given the opportunity to move to the end of the deposit list on available puppies of the opposite sex.
Puppy Pick Out and Send Home Day will be the Saturday after the puppies turn 8 weeks old (unless notified otherwise). Puppies are picked in order of deposit on the day they get sent home.
Puppy Buyer agrees to pick up their puppy on the above send home date. If the puppy cannot be picked up on that date, a boarding fee of $50 a day will be due upon pickup of the puppy.
Standing Stone Kennels does not ship puppies. Puppy Buyer must pick up their puppy from Standing Stone Kennels. If Puppy Buyer decides to ship the puppy, then Standing Stone Kennels does not accept responsibility for any health issues aside from genetic issues that may arise.
Health Guarantees

Breeding
Not all dogs should be bred, as breeders, Standing Stone Kennels understands this. There are risks involved when breeding dogs, including the health and mortality of the female and puppies. Therefore, Standing Stone Kennels has chosen to limit the registration of their puppies in an effort to educate Puppy Buyers as well as protect and maintain the integrity of the breed.
If Puppy Buyer wishes to breed their puppy, Puppy Buyer agrees to health testing, testing and titling, as well as physical examination/evaluation and temperament testing/evaluation, before Standing Stone Kennels will lift limited registrations. The decision will be made together whether the dog in question should be bred. Ultimately, we hold our Puppy Buyers to the same standards we hold ourselves when determining if a dog should be bred and that it would be an improvement to the breed.
Though not required, if an agreement is made with Puppy Buyer for Standing Stone Kennels to breed said dog, Standing Stone Kennels Leas the dam from Puppy Buyer, will chose the stud, facilitate the breeding, whelp and raise the litter, home the puppies from said litter and stand behind those puppies as a Standing Stone Kennels Litter. Individual breeding contracts will be created on an individual basis. Don’t hesitate to ask for more information.
Rehoming
If, for any reason, Puppy Buyer can no longer care for the puppy, Standing Stone Kennels shall be given the first opportunity to resume ownership; however, Standing Stone Kennels is not required to accept the puppy. If Standing Stone Kennels resumes ownership, the puppy will be returned with all of its registration paperwork and health records.
