Dual is exactly what her name suggests—the best of both worlds. She takes some of the pieces we love most about Quest and combines them with some of the pieces that makes Chief such an exceptional dog and brings them together in a very balanced, natural way.
From Quest, she inherits her calm, gentle nature in the house along with that easy livability we appreciate day to day. Quest has always been sweet and quiet at home, while still carrying a playful personality and an all-business attitude in the upland field. Dual mirrors that well, showing the same steadiness, stoicism, and staunchness on birds, paired with a temperament that makes her easy to live with.
From Chief, she picks up her drive and power. Chief is known for his versatility—equally at home in the duck blind as he is pointing and retrieving upland birds. Dual carries that same desire and work ethic, just in a slightly smaller package. She brings energy and purpose to everything she does in the field.
Dual has great bird savvy when it comes to finding birds and holding them just right as to keep them pinned until you get there. She covers ground cooperatively and you never have to worry about her over running her nose, over pressuring birds or over running a field. She’s just easy to have out there with you, hunting as part of a team.
This duality of calm temperament in the house and exceptional field work and drive she shows us doesn’t get combined in such a balanced way very often and we are looking forward to her continued training, testing and titling as well as having her in the field to enjoy hunting behind.
