When trying to describe Doc, I sometimes struggle, as he is a dog like few I have ever seen. He is the dog that most dream to own, but few ever get the chance. His calm demeanor, human-like intelligence, stable temperament, and affectionate personality only scratch the surface of his positive traits.

Doc was picked from his litter 100% based on conformation potential.  Doc has developed into one of the best-looking, most conformationally correct dogs we have owned.  He currently has 7 points toward his championship, including a 5 point major win. We have plans to finish his title shortly.

Doc's bird work is what every hunter wants to see in the field. He is a high drive dog, works a field intelligently, and every point is so stylish; it's worth taking a picture. At barely 3 years old, Doc has very successfully hunted wild pheasants and quail in 5 states.

Trainability, cooperation, and the ability to handle pressure are necessary qualities when it comes to earning a Master Hunter title.  Because Doc is a bird-finding machine, we knew he couldn't get through the tests with just 1 piece of good bird work. In each of his 6 passes, Doc found multiple birds, worked them at a Master level, and kept his style and intensity throughout.

Most important to us, though, is Doc's place in our home.  All of our dogs are house dogs. He is one of the most enjoyable dogs to have around. He is calm. He is entertaining. He is one of the easiest keepers we've ever had. Doc loves human affection, always looking for hugs. With most of a dog's life spent outside of hunting season, these traits are priceless.

Doc has only begun to tap his potential. We currently have plans to continue with AKC field trials and a NAVHDA Utility Test in the near future. Oh yeah, Doc loves water work too! If you are looking for a total package in versatility, Doc is the dog you should be looking at in a breeding program.
